Bearded Ink is the brainchild of two friends, who, after a couple of beers, asked the question: "Why does every apparel brand either take itself too seriously or sell cheap garbage that falls apart after three washes?"
We wanted something different. Specifically, we saw a gap in the market for shirts with honest, humorous, sarcastic messages that make people smirk. Not only that, but we realized how rare it was for apparel to hold up in all situations, from working hard to relaxing at the bar. If we couldn't find what we were looking for, we said, maybe we should offer it ourselves.
So that's exactly what we did.
HOW IT STARTED
We're Doug and Rocky, two blue-collar guys from Forney, Texas, who've been friends for years. Between us, we've got decades in the trades, along with a shared love for motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and living life on our own terms.
One day, we were talking (or, rather, complaining) about how hard it is to find apparel that fits our style. Everything is either too corporate, too try-hard, or made for someone half our age. We wanted to wear the kind of stuff that gets a laugh or starts a conversation, and that's when Bearded Ink was born.

DOUG DEBUSK
Co-Founder & Creative Visionary
Doug started trade school right out of high school in '96, and over 32 years later, he's still working hard.
He built his own plumbing business from the ground up, retired from a franchise, and decided it was time to channel his creativity into something new. Bearded Ink is his opportunity to express his faith and his love for this country.
Doug is the creative force behind Bearded Ink's designs. Every graphic, every message, every bold statement comes from his head. He's the kind of guy who shoots straight and works hard, and he definitely doesn't have time for BS. When he's not working on new designs, you'll find him with family and friends, enjoying outdoor life.

ROCKY BRENT
Co-Founder
Rocky is blue-collar through and through: tattooed and hardworking, and unapologetic about it. He's spent his life working with his hands and living by a simple code: God, family, and country.
When he's not hunting or fishing, Rocky's most likely out on his Harley, enjoying a long ride. He's a proud believer in the Second Amendment and doesn't apologize for it.
Alongside his role as Bearded Ink's co-founder, Rocky is committed to being a family man and loves spending time with his wife and two dogs.
